Aug 21, 2016 · Just picked up Varget, H335, CFE123, & IMR4166. Work up some different loads. Was lookin in my hornady reloading manual and has 5.56 after service rifle data and has Hornady 68 grain BTHP wich ks what I have. Besides the obvious higher pressure is there anything else different about reloading 5.56? Brass is same right? My rifle is 5.56 rates yes.

This is the same powder as current H4895 which is faster than older H-4895 and the newer stuff seems nearer to IMR-3031 than IMR-4895. Dec 15, 2013 · Been using 26grns of H335 for years with the 50grn VMax. Flows great through my Dillon for progressive reloading. I've been hearing good reports on Hodgdon CFE223 a fairly new powder. (The manual was written soon after the 204 was introduced). I'd lay in a supply of H335 for the project. The great thing about that powder is it meters like water thorough my Redding BR-3 powder measure, and I can charge 100 cases in about ten minutes and be within .05 grain in terms of accuracy.....great for upcoming ground squirrel of PD shoots.
